Welcome To Flourish Arts

Flourish Arts in Birchgrove is honoured to represent the work of a group of Australian artists who are at the forefront of contemporary wearable art. As multi media artists they experiment with new techniques, materials and design to create one off pieces of jewellery, fascinators, bags, scarves and gloves. Their insatiable curiosity leads them to use their skills in new areas like book design, wall art, clothing, glass objects and ceramics.

Some of the artists are well established, are internationally recognised and teach while others are still finding and exploring their own unique style. They all pride themselves on the quality and originality of their work. The work in this web site demonstrates the range of work that can be found at the Gallery. Each artist's page shows the range of work they do. Our range extends from the simple and elegant to the quirky and extraordinary. If you contact the Gallery we can let you know the pieces that each artist currently has available in the Gallery.

The Gallery also carries one-off leather handbags by Leo Monk, ceramic works by Willi Michalski, jewellery from Mondo Rondo Designs - The Utopia Artists Collection, the Stamps range of watches and vintage collectibles.

Flourish Arts features paintings by a number of aboriginal artists. While the Gallery features paintings from the Papunya Tula and Yuendumu communities the focus of the Gallery's Aboriginal art collection is from the Utopia area of central Australia. The paintings that are currently available in the Gallery are on this web site and can be purchased by contacting the Gallery.

Natalie McCarthy, who is featured on this web site, currently has an exhibition at the Gallery and her work can be purchased by contacting the Gallery.

The Gallery is a great location for celebratory drinks, cocktails and Hen's Nights. Please call for details and prices.

With the consent of the artist, the Gallery takes commissions for bespoke jewellery pieces, fascinators and knitwear and also offers mending, upcycling and jewellery redesign services.

The Gallery is open Thursdays to Sundays,
10am til 6pm
(and by appointment)

The Gallery supports the Balmain Community Rewards Scheme & is also pleased to offer this service to scheme members. Come and visit some time soon.
